Panama or Brazil

8 days...which would better in january?
thanks, mike

I can't speak for Brazil but having been in Panama in January - it was hot.

I think you'll get more replies if you can give members a bit more information. It's easier to respond when someone includes activities they are interested in, preferences for beaches or mountains, extreme sports or basic relaxation, etc. Those who like Brazil will say Brazil - those who like Panama will say Panama, given the information they have to work with at the moment.

If you are talking about the weather, its a no brainer. Panama. In January, you get 30 days of clear skies in Panama but is hot. In Brasil, south of Recife, it will be sunny in morning and heavy rain after 4pm. Its the rainy season in January and can be brutually hot with the humidity (especially Rio). Though areas like Maceio and north can be dry.

If you are talking about money issues, Brasil is the most expensive country in South America. Prices for hotels and such are at least double because its the school break. Panama is cheap and prices can range from cheap to similiar prices in the USA.

I live in Brasil and I spent alot of time in Panama and I would say without a doubt, PANAMA. I loved Panama, its clean, cheap, non violent and everyone speaks English. But like the previous poster, more info is needed.

Panama is good and so is Brazil.

Really, dude. A sentence? That;s the effort you put in for an answer? There is reciprical effort above.

D

Sorry for just a sentence ...but i think i got a helpful response. I would like some beach time, some hicking,( i think there is a volcano and a cloud forest you can visit in panana) and some boating and snorkling wouldnt hurt. Panama seems to be a lot cheaper and easier to get to and travel around for a short trip

Impossible to visit a continent in 8 days.
