Why would you worry how to keep in touch with your friends if you're only ... one week away?
I'm sure they can miss you seven days, and otherwise some hotels always have some spare computers with internet access you can use, or you can check out the libraries, sometimes they have free internet!
If you really need to get in touch with folks back home, then there are internet cafes around where you can just rent an hour of internet time. Most of these actually have skype installed, and have headsets etc, so that would probably be my recommendation. Alternatively, go old school, and get a

I'm not so sure that you have any friends of your own!
Anyway, I'll check out the Internet Cafes as Sam I Am suggested. I'm also looking into the calling card thingy.
