How easy is it to travel overland from Croatia to some of the nearlby countries? I've got two weeks to do some travelling. I'm thinking about heading to Split in the next couple of days I wouldnt mind going to Romania too. Has anyone ever travelled around the region?
What about flying from place to place can that be done on a budget?
What about the trains? And how much should I budget for a two week trip?
I don't want to spend more than £1000. I'd like to do a beginners climbing course in Split.
I need a Lonely Planet guide me thinks.
A guide is a good idea. Split and Romania (im assuming you want to see Transylvania) is not so close. Trains are not frequent. Check Bahn.de. They will be cheap tho. 1000 Pounds will be plenty. Id stick with an easier route - Croatia and maybe just Bosnia or Serbia. Save Romania for another trip.
What is the nightlife like in Split? Is it good for partying? Or would Dubrovnic be better?
I was ready to book a return flight to Dubrovnik last night for £350. About the cheapest I can find anywhere in Europe which is incredible.
I had to put the brakes on it however because I cant find any accommodation for the single traveller.
Any ideas? I'd love to go for two weeks but I have to be back on the 29th August so its just the one.
I visited Croatia once but I preferred a car on rent to visit croatia and its nearby places. I was on a business trip and didn’t get much time to enjoy completely but I have heard that there are so many beautiful places to visit there.
