Phuket where is a good place to saty there for backpacker?

Hey guys I am currently in Chiang mai but headfing down to Phuket on saturday night can anyone recommend a good guesthouse for backpackers to stay that clean safe and central

I stayed at and it was lovely. It's in Hat Karon which is the next resort along from Patong, but it's a much more pleasant area and has a nice beach.

Hi Claire

can I ask, how has Chiang Mai been for you? How long have you spent up that way and what did you find most interesting up there?

I go on October 9th and this is a place where I am going to start off.

Oh, and how has the weather been there. September is supposed to be the wettest month of the year isnt it?

Hi guys chiang mai has been amazing so far an has exceeded my expectations ive been here almost a week an i would recommend the following to do Zip wire cable flying through the jungle with flight of the gibbon, quad biking through the jungle where you meet local tribes and visit the waterfalls the night zafari is by far better than chiang mai zoo and at a good price also the i day treks are great fun and a brill way to meet people and visit also the elephant farm where you can trek on the elephant and watch the elephant show, thai boxing fights are good and the best area to met a fellow backpacker alike is near the sunday walking street with a great reggae bar close to the UN Irish pub while your here you will find so much more too do and things that suit ur interests. For me chiang mai is a hidden gem and in time will probably become a big tourist hub but for now it has a nice balance food is great and the people very helpful.

Heres hoping the south islands can be as exciting as chiang mai

Enjoy ur travels and contact me if u need more help
