Hello!
I'm quite keen on this too, probably the test in Brisbane.
Not a huge cricket fan myself, but like you say probably won't get to do it again
Got my tickets for the boxing day test at the MCG.
Not a cricket fan at all, but part of the experience and always fun watching the English get humped
I wondered about this. I don't know much about cricket but thought it might be an experience, no idea about ticket prices tho and not sure i want to see england get beaten, if that's likely.
When I went 8 years ago it was easy enough to get tickets for everything apart from the first day in Sydney. Will depend on how things are going I suppose. If you hang about the bars where the England fans are drinking you might pick up spares.
I got tickets for the 1st and 2nd day in Sydney. I'm not a big cricket fan (I've never been to a game), but do follow it a little.
Given it'll be my first time in Oz and I'm going to be there when the Ashes are on, it was too good an opportunity to miss, even if England do get thrashed again!
Have a look on Ticketek for tickets.
I think generally the third day on you can get pretty easy, but the first and second day (unless during the week) are packed. The Boxing Day test will be totally crammed with 80,000+ on the first day and not much less on the second day. Possibly seeing England have the Ashes at the moment, this one might be different.

And will still hold the Ashes after the upcoming series...
Yeah I am the same its just a novelty thing really!
And you never know could be a sight to see if England end up wooping aussie ass!
I would LOVE to go on boxing day but i bet those are like gold dust.
Can I ask how much approx if anyone doesnt mind saying they paid for their tickets? - Just because if i do manage to get some - which i will prob do when i fly out there in oct rather than pay uk i want to check i am not being ripped off!
Theres also the next season of F1 too when i'm out there...think its March - if i manage to not spend all my pennies without a job!! And the rugby!! So much to do so little rich family members

There are still tickets for the boxing day test on ticketek (I'm not sure if I can add the link to their site?) Anyway, there seems to be tickets still for sale at $85 and $36.
Why don't you buy them now, from the official ticket site and collect at the venue? That's what I've done for the Sydney test anyway
I've also just been looking at the F1 ticket prices! There is also tennis on in Melbourne at the end of January too. So little money!
