For me it's " The Base " if I have to choose between the two because it speaks to me rather than " Voila " which gives me more of a question feeling like " Voila what? " considering that "Voila" is originally a french word. That's just my opinion

I agree, and already checked. I'm leaving it for now, but clearly am going to delete the whole thread if there is any kind of "you can find the hotel here" follow-up post
Not trying to spam anyone and definitely will not be following up with any ads or inducements to visit the hotel. I just wanted to gauge the reaction of seasoned travellers to those two names and hear what they have to say. There is no right or wrong to the answer and there will be no attempt to sell anything. Promise.

I received a message in my mailbox to participate in that Thread so that's just what I did!!
I think that Threads should be checked before letting it go live in order to prevent spamming because people are can participate when they get an invitation to ;-)
I don't know what you're trying to say with those rofls, Utrecht, but you might want to take into account that they could easily be misinterpreted. marydi is a travel helper for Mauritius (and probably has been since 2003), and so would indeed have gotten that email, since watchman66 indicated that this thread is about Mauritius.
watchman66: "" is a chain of backpacker hostels in Australia and New Zealand. Depending on where you expect most of your visitors to come from, and what type of traveller they are, you might not want to go for that association. (Or it might be completely irrelevant.)
Personally I find either name to be not very well suited, but I doubt I'm your target demographic anyway.

Oh, I now that for sure Sander, but sometimes I get paranoid and don't believe things. Sometimes I am right, sometimes wrong.
