Johannesburg/South Africa Advice and tips.

Hi there,

Hi,

I've been to SA twice and just thought i'd share a few things with you. While there isn't a whole lot to keep you in Joburg ,it does make a great starting point for a 2 wk trip. I hired a car both times, very easy to drive there, and relatively cheap.. The mighty Kruger Park is only about400 km away, with its many safari camps, ranging from ludicrously expensive to the inexpensive state run camps, but it's a fabulous place.

You could spend months here, but 3-5 days would be good. After that ,you could go through Swaziland to St Lucia Wetlands and then on through the Drakensbergs, very doable in 2 wks,

Pat

Hi Em
So glad I stumbled upon your post. If you want to see South Africa you are speaking to the right person now. Let me know what you are interested in seeing and I can see if I can give you some ideas.
Regards
Charmaine

Hi

Although Johannesburg does not offer a lot of natural sight seeing such as animals, there are a lot of other places you can visit to see the wonderful nature of South Africa. Mostly in Limpopo province which a 4 hour drive out of Johannesburg. There you can visit The Kruger National Park, Moholoholo, see cheetah's at Kapama Cheetah, Klaserie Falls and Modjadji cycads. The list is endless. South Africa is totally magnificent!

We do have cheap internal flights with Kulula, 1time and Mango Airline. South African Airlines is the most expensive of our airlines.
Also, Kenya is far from Johannesburg. And I'm not sure how the visa for another country would work. Cape Town is about two hours from Joburg by aeroplane. (It's about a 12 hour drive).
