Post editing and the forum rules

Hi mods,

Hi sanbot,

I am the moderator who did the snipping. First off - thank you for reading the forum rules as people tend to skip them.

More often than not, new members who only have one or two posts "under their belt" and place links in threads do so as spam. The moderators and admin on Travellerspoint view such posts as suspicious and remove the links. Once a member has established themselves in the forums, a more lenient approach is taken. Basically, the member has proven they are not a spammer. We'd prefer to error on the side of caution and answer questions (like this one) than allow spammers to go unchecked.

I'm sure the links would be helpful. Now that you have asked about this issue and explained your intentions, I personally think you could post them again without having them removed by my co-moderator.
