I would first like to say how I excited I am to see so many people traveling solo I was under the impression (people have led me to believe) that being by yourself is unsafe. I however have personally concluded that no where is "safe" and that You and only you can put yourself in dangerous situations.

Travelling solo is lots safer than people think as long with common sense (which I'm sure you have ) it's not bad. You'll meet lots of amazing people out there!
I've never been to Argentina so I'm not much help but it's on my to see list. I'm really missing travelling at the moment so I'm feeling to go off exploring again in the next month or so.
