Not sure if you are still looking for responses.
You don't say how old you are or where you are from. I am 40 and live in London and I travel alone quite frequently. I am currently on a 5 week road trip across America on my own.
Do you have any other ideas of where you would like to go apart from India. I am planning to go to Vietnam & Cambodia possibly in Nov/Dec 2011 or early 2012 for a couple of months.
