hey are price comparrisson websites for hotels and other travel needs so they will probably find you the cheapest option for your criteria. Ive used them to book places in Europe before and find them reliable :-)

Hi Laura, thanks for your tips . I dont know about the quality of the accommodations, that is why I asked your opinions.

Hiya - you'll have to specify how much 'cheap' is 'cause people have very different ideas of cheap. Let me know your budget and I'll recommend a few places.

Hi magykal1, you're right. I could have been more specific.

I was thinking something about 60 pounds/day for the couple.

I've made a reservation at Metro Hotel, near Paddington Station. Do you know it?

Cheers!

My parents stayed at the Metro hotel a few years back. It was a bit run down, I thought, but they thought it was adequate and if you're paying £60 per night for a hotel in Central London you can't complain too much.

There are two clusters of basic hotels in good locations that you might want to check out - I'm assuming you want to be in Central London, right? One is between Russell Square and the British Museum (see the Ruskin Hotel for example) and one is near Gloucester Road tube station in West Kensington (see Kensington Court Hotel for an example). £60 per night is absolute rock bottom for London so don't expect frills.....
