LAS VEGAS

Shelly,
You have a wide range of choices for the Grand Canyon. The cheapest way would be to rent a car and drive. Figure about 5 hours. Driving gives you more flexibility on how long you want to stay, what you want to see besides the GC. You can easily add some sightseeing on the way or back to LV. Historic Route 66 is one example. Next cheapest would be a . You also have that leave almost hourly from Vegas. are also an option. All these options are much more expensive per person than driving to the GC.

Send me a PM if you have any Vegas questions.

Thanks Mike

Im not very computer friendly so cant work out how to send you a PM... lol

Have you any advice on things to steer clear of in Vegas.... Keep hearing alot about tourist traps and dont want to fall into them. Only there for 5 days so want to jam alot in!!

Love the idea of driving down route 66. :-)

Hi Shelley

if you decide to see any shows or party in the night clubs DO NOT buy from the guys on the street - total scam and most places wont accept the tickets anyway.

Have a lovely time

Very easy to send a PM - just click on anyone's username, and then on the "send message" button

Shelly,
I just sent you a PM. Top right, look for 'my messages'. Click on that and read your PM. Then hit 'reply' to answer. We will make you a TP veteran yet!

Las Vegas is perfect destination for enjoyment and i like -snip-.There is more fun and enjoyment.

I have removed the link because this was a promotional (spam) post. But, since the original poster does mention this (now inactive) member's username in her reply, removing this whole post would make Shelley's response afterwards confusing to others.

stepheddy - Thanks for the advice were steer clear :-)

Daawgon & vegasmike6 - Il get the hang of this yet.... Thank you

Well, if you are going to be there at that time, you'll be arriving in the middle of Spring Break--and Las Vegas has been working hard to promote itself as "THE" Spring Break location.

I don't want to give promos either, but it's hard to give you intro on parties without at least mentioning when and where they are at. For example, I happen to know that MTV is having a lot of celebrity at their weeklong parties over at the Palms (think celebrities like Pitbull (who is featured in both Usher's and Jennifer Lopez's last videos), Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, and Jason Derulo. Paris Las Vegas Hotel is having a special party on Friday March 11th at their nightclub (Chateau). And places like Rockhouse Bar and Luxor Hotel are having specials for the entire month. And I expect most of the other large hotels like Caesar's and te Mirage and the Wynn and the Venician and the Hard Rock probably also offering great, cheap specials all month.

I know this because I've been mailed fliers from lots of places personally--and because my son has already booked Spring Break in Las Vegas with his girlfriend (whose college takes their Spring Break a couple of weeks later than most colleges, from March 18th through the 25th)--and he got a fantastically cheap deal for those dates at one of the new places at City Centre.

Enjoy
