Freedy,
First thing you need to do is on Koh Phangan (KP). The FMP are very popular and most rooms are booked far in advance.
Do that RIGHT NOW!

You do on getting to the FMP. If your budget allows, fly to Samui on and take the ferry over to KP. Or the overnight train and ferry, or overnight bus and ferry. Book the the train in few days in advance if possible to get a sleeper and better class seat. Or get yourself over to the and book a bus/ferry combo ticket. Use the gov't buses while in Thailand. DO NOT us the tourist buses if possible. Many reports of theft on the private buses, not on the gov't buses. The Thais use the gov't buses, so should you.

After the FMP, you have enough time to head over to the Krabi coast for more beach time. Plenty of islands and beaches to choose from. You might use as your base and day trip some beaches. and are an easy day trip from Krabi. & are also options if you want a beach hut close to the water.

Another option you might consider is Close to BKK, you could spend 2-3 days in Pattaya before your flight home. There are dozens of buses to Suvarnabhumi daily if you choose Pattaya before flying home. Known for its , Pattaya also has a nice beach option over on
covers my daytrip over to KL.

Good luck with your planning.

For Bangkok choose a hotel near the Skytrain route. Sukhumvit and Siam areas are good locations. But if you are quite young, still in school maybe consider a hotel in the Khao San Road area. No rail service but lots of other kids to be around. Usually younger tourists ask about full moon parties.

For a hotel suggestion include your price range. Sample hotels below.

You can help yourself by visiting a library and boning up on Thailand. You can check out a couple travel guides. Chiang Mai is also a nice place to head for if you have an interest other than just beaches.

Rail service available up to midnight. Some hotels you can walk to from the Skytrain route. There is even rail service from the airport to the Pratunam area. In that area, at Phaya Thai, you can switch to the Skytrain. The Skytrain and Rail Link also connect with the subway. The subway can take you to Hualamphong train station.

Good luck.

thank you so much for the very useful information,, will definitely check it out,,

I have booked my 1st night in bangkok at the I residence hotel which is next to the BTS Chong Nonsi Station,, hope its ok,, its gonna be my first time in thailand,, travelling with 2 friends,,

do you guys think I should go to phuket???? is it worth checking out?

Freedy,
Read my post again. BOOK your room NOW for the FMP. If you leave it until you are in Thailand, you will either not get a room or overpay once there. Phuket is overpriced and crowded. That is why I suggested the Krabi area. Good luck.
