You should have no problem finding the type of work you are looking for in Canada. The main ski areas in Alberta are located in Rocky Mountains. Ski towns include Banff Alberta, Lake Louise Alberta, Jasper Alberta, Fernie British Columbia and Whistler British Columbia.
I suggest you contact the various ski resorts, such as Sunshine, Lake Louise, via email and ask them for advice on what is needed to obtain employment. I suspect, at least around Banff, accomodations are heavily subsidized or free (Sunshine I believe houses workers on the hill).

Just remember to get in early. Ski resort jobs are very popular, and if you haven't arranged a job and accommodations beforehand, you'll want to get here before the season gets underway.
