ALSO WOULD A 65LITRE BACK PACK B ENOUGH FOR ALL THIS STUFF??
There are many people here who will tell you that you should take a 45 liter pack - and if your stuff doesn't fit that you are taking too much. I agree.
The reason people take too much is that they are thinking too much in terms how long and how far away they go. It is their big trip, their big adventure, consequently they take everything but the kitchen sink.
Don't fall into that trap. Pack the same amount of things that you would pack for going away for 10 days to a city in another part of your homecountry - because honestly, that is all you need. There are washing machines in Australia, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find a place to wash your things every 5-10 days. Consequently you only need clothes for 5-10 days. That means two bottoms (pants or skirt) and two tops (t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc) aside from what you are wearing plus undies, light jacket and one pair of shoes.

'Home-made' type natural soap is good for shampoo/shaving/washing clothes, etc, and is actually better than shampoo imho. I wash clothes (socks, pants, t-shirt) every day when I can. It's easy - and also means carrying less.
A friend of a friend got turned back at Heathrow for carrying cv's, though I have no idea if that would cause a problem with Australian customs. Just a thought.
All the toiletries and stuff you can get out here so no need to load yourself up un-necessarily. There are banks and ATMs everywhere so I wouldn't even bother with travellers cheques.
If you have a work permit or working visa then I can't see any problems with CVs and job references when coming through customs. Another alternative would be to just take electronic copies of these (ie USB stick) and print out when you get here. (I never said that! )
One thing you should definately bring (AND USE) is sun cream. None of that weak SPF4 stuff. The proper SPF 15 or 30! Our sun loves to burn that milky UK skin!
Cheers.
65 litre pack is more than sufficient. Id minimize it as much as possible. Heres wot i had in my 45L which also doubled as a climbing bag for mountain day trips etc.
walking boots
thongs/flip flops
shoes
toiletries
camera/dvds for backup - though you wont need these. you can buy em there.
1 light pair of jeans for work
2-3 pairs of shorts (1 good, 1 work, 1 casual/swim)
2-3 shirts (1 good, 1 work, 1 casual)
2-3 t shirts (1 good, 1 work, 1 casual)
1 towel
1 (coat/waterproof jacket)
roll up wet trousers (prob not needed in Oz)
try and keep it to a minimum
