Hi thier, It sounds really good. I would say take it very much by ear. You would be surpized at how fast six monthes and some change goes by. Take your time and explore places that you really enjoy. I have done a welcome pack before in London and found it very helpful and a great way to get orientated. For Australia I might suggest a camping tour or backpacking tour. Its a big place and that way you can relax and really enjoy it. Also keep in mind when you visit the United States its a huge country and it can take some time by Plane, Bus, Train and so on so keep that in mind. Good luck
