Thailand itinerary

Hey helpfull people,

Hey helpfull people,

Been to thailand before for a month. Visited Bangkok, Chang Mai, Sukhothai, pak chong, koh phi phi, phuket, koh tao, koh phan ngang.
Looking to go to some different places this time but will be starting off in bangkok. Ive got a month at least so time is not an issue but i want to have a rough itinerary before I go but putting one together is not as easy as i thought! Any suggestions/ recommendations. Looking for a nice mix of beach life and city culture too!

Choose a hotel in Bangkok that is close to the Skytrain. Cheap hotels and a few hostels in Sukhumvit Road area not far from Nana Skytrain. Airport Rail Link is up and running until midnight. For only 15 baht you can take this train to Phaya Thai Skytrain stop and use the Skytrain to get yourself to a hotel on Sukhumvit. Or, use a meter taxi to bring you to your hotel. From this Rail Link stop to a hotel on Sukhumvit was less than 60 baht! Such a deal!

(The Skytrain can be used to get to MBK, Chatuchak, Patpong, Ekamai Bus Terminal, subway at Asoke and other places.)

Add Pattaya to your list. Close to Bangkok, 2 hour bus ride from Ekamai Bus Terminal for around 114 baht. Hotels and local transportation cheaper than Bangkok. Choose hotel on or near Pattaya 2nd Road. Take ferry boat ride to Koh Larn Island for only 30 baht, ferry departs Bali Hai Pier, off Walking Street. See local travel agencies for tours and other things available in this area. Lots of malls, nightlife, street vendors, small shops available, etc.

You might want to check out Korat and the Phimai area. You can use a bus from the Mochit Bus Terminal. About 4 hours ride on bus to Korat, i hour more to Phimai.

You could also visit a second country from Thailand. Fly to Philippines, take bus or train to Penang, Malaysia, visit Laos, etc.

Good Luck.
