Early Arrival In Kuala Lumpur

Hi everyone!
Just after a bit of advice, my flight is next week at 08.00am GMT flying from London Stansted to KL. We arrive over in KL at about 05:30am the next day Malaysian time....so pretty early. We're booked in for somewhere to stay in KL Sentral and we can go there straight away if we want as we have it booked for as soon as we get there at that time. But we dont really want to waste time getting there and sleeping, and as well as that we dont want to mess our body clocks up by sleeping then.

you could visit the musuem which is walking distance from kl sentral. then also the bird park and butterfly farm which walking distance.old railway station is a train ride away to see the old structure. then shopping at central market but beware of 'special' prices for tourists and klcc for more shopping and food.

  • *** he is talking about kl not kenya...

take a taxi to Mid Valley for shopping, quite near about 10 to 15 minutes.

living here for 13 years, knowing most visitors came for shopping and food.

i do think you should visit 2 places - KL Tower and Petronas Twin Tower.
KL Sentral is central, the LRT(light rail train) main station, so you can take the LRT from KL Sentral to KLCC station, come out, big shopping mall with the Petronas Twin Tower on top of the shopping mall.
After that, walk out to the street name "Jalan Ampang", head to your left, there is a Malaysia Tourism Board on the street, further, you will see the KL Tower.
When you are up the KL Tower, which is a Telecommunication tower than a free standing tower ( like the function of Tokyo tower), you will see the whole KL and get a good sense of bearing before you start anything in your journey.

ejoy!

I don't envy you flying AirAsia to KL. Let us know after how the flight was...

There's lots to do in KL upon your arrival. Like previous posts suggest, you could visit the KL Tower and the Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve that surrounds the tower, the Petronas Towers, the KLCC Park and you can also choose to go on a walking tour around China Town and Little India to explore the local shops and sights.
