This is what they call the "Green Season" meaning that it is rainier then the rest of the year. That said you are in a rain forest so it should always be expected. Normally the further into the summer the rainier it gets with September October normally being the worst. There is a time period in July in Costa Rica that for some reason it does not rain as much or at all. And the prices are better then the "Dry Season"
The good thing about this time period is less crowded and lusher green areas.

Go to Rio and Salvador, Brasil, June is dry season there, remember to check your weather on internet before you depart. This is unreal, any fortune tellers who can forecast weather a year ahead out there, travellerspoint should hire one!!!!
