Visiting Dahab Egypt local knowledge needed

Hi, I have had M.E. or "post viral chronic fatigue syndrome" and need a recomendation of a CENTRAL small hotel in Dahab as I still only walk with dificulty. That means a choice of cafes/restaurants nearby. Also on the beach if possible. I have had this condition for many years and have travelled alone a lot - including Turkey 4 times and Israel/Palestine. There are many hotels in Dahab, Sheikh Salem looks good but they didnt respond to my inquiry.I hope to go very soon. Thanks

Hi there,

I recommend Red Sea Relax. I have stayed there many times and the rooms are clean, the pool is beautiful and it is right on the beach at the Lighthouse end of town - 5 metres from cafes and restaurants and shops. I am staying there again myself in April when I go on holiday! Prices are very reasonable.

Cheers, Tania

Merlinscott, I have friends there, so talk to Netyoda or Christine on Redsea4u and they will help you.

Jayway... I don't think Christine has ever been to Dahab, and Netyoda's been there once, for a day.
red Sea relax is a good suggestion.... it's not my favourite, but it's very central.
Most of the hotels are a walk away from the town centre, along the boardwalk. relax is very central.
My favourite is the Sea View, but it's about 10 minutes walk from the centre.
You'll love Dahab.... it's my favourite corner of Egypt!!

We have stayed in Dahab Plaza. It is a nice place, just 5 min. away from the sea alley.
