I am planning to go to australia to stay with a good friend and work for a year in august.
I am just trying to sort out my working holiday visa with the embassy now and found out recently i need a certain amount of funds to support myself while im in australia.
I dont have the funds now but i will have them a month before i leave. is this a problem with getting my visa now? or will they not mind?
if they ARE cool with my this then what do i put on my application form? where it says 'do you have sufficient funds for the initial period of your stay in austrlia?' and it has boxes to tick... do i tick yes? or no? lol

You indeed tick yes. You will have sufficient funds when on the visa. (As you can apply for a visa up to a year before actually travelling to Australia, asking about the situation right now wouldn't be very useful. Also, this financial requirement is generally not something which is checked; it's there mostly to protect you, as travellers tend to need at least that much money.)
oh thats alright then! i was worried they wouldnt think im eligable for a visa without the money right now.

I'd just apply online, yes. That way you'll get it all approved within a day or two.

Don't worry, it's really easy. All you need to do is fill in you personal informaion, answer some questions, and go step by step. You'll see some direction as well, just follow it. I did it myself, too. And I'm not an native speaker and my English isn't very well.
yea i just did mine and it was VERY easy i feel silly for being so worried. just waiting for a reply now x still worried a lil bit but people have assured me that its fine haha x thanks for the help!!
