even I'm searching for a travel buddy for my Pattaya-Bangkok-Koh Samui-Phuket trip. Unfortunately I'm leaving on 8th February for 10 days. Thailand is a great place to chill. I may visit in August again, who knows!

Me and my partner went to thailand for a month in October, truly an amazing place! be sure to take a decent camera!
When i first saw your thread i thought... you dont need a travel buddy in thailand but then again it becomes a very boring place on your own.
be sure to hire a moped but be very careful! you will see alot of people with bandages on from falling off, be careful and you wont have a problem. a moped is the best way to travel around CHEAP. it cost around £2 to fill a moped tank to the top and that will get you everywhere!
we went to bangkok for 4 nights (this is too long to go for) people recommend 2 nights at the max, personaly i wasnt to keen on the place as there is no..'inbetween' it is either poor or rich. and the hygiene is bad. but each to their own.
we then flew to phuket for 3 weeks and stayed in Nai Harn (we were told this is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island) and is visited regulary by the locals. amazing for surfing. but unfortunately a very quiet area..this is when your moped comes in handy!
we then stayed in patong for a week and its a crazy place!! but an experience!
Thailand is a very safe place, the laws are different over there and they get more than a slapped hand for crimes so its a lot different to england! do be careful if you decide to travel on your own at night though. in the suburbs people will rob at the poorer times of year to keep them going so be careful.

@River88island : Hey thanks for commented my thread. Is tuk-tuk different with moped? heard tuk-tuk is the cheapest transportation there but also not safe in other hand. Sometimes bad tuk-tuk driver 'force' tourist to go to unknown 'tourist destination' which actually is a Jewellery Shop so they could get tip(like a coupon) if they bring tourist to go there.
Travelling for the first time and go alone is too risky, i know. Since I'm Indonesian, people there may assume I'm Thai lol
Phi-Phi Island also on my 'must see' list too anyway. And actually I havent heard Nai Harn.

Hi i would be in Bangkok till 27th for a conference and then extending my visit to explore a bit of Bangkok and then take a day excursion to ayutthya and then go to Sukhotai proceeding to chaing-rai and then finally to chiang-mai. May add up something as well-My dates are 27/28 Augtill 06th Sep.
I'll be in Thailand early August - November. Will diving, full moon party on Sept 1st. Also going to Laos during that period if anyone wants to head there you more than welcome.
