Thailand on a budget

We are a couple travelling in Thailand for 2 months..Our day budget is 1300Bht which makes 1000 euro per month (for 2).
We eat in restaurants sleap in nice guesthouses. We will be happy to share our experiences with you!

Hi,
How long would u be in Bkk/Thailand?
If u r there we can meet up for drinks to
exchange experiences.
Please take care.

Sorry. Have you already done this trip or are you planning this trip?

Two months means you need a tourist visa.

You can live comfortably on 1,000 euros a month in Thailand, but not if you want the best of everything.

I have a nice apartment booked in Bangkok for December which is 237 euros a month. It's near a number of malls, lots of eating places, and buses and MRT.

If you want to travel a lot, stay in beach places for days or weeks at a time (months is cheaper) then you will pay a lot more.

There are plenty of good eating places which are cheap and you'll see the locals eating in them.

As said you will need a visa. That's 60 days, including day or arrival and day of departure. Overstay is 500 baht a day, and the police see it as an offence as in jail, in the very unlikely event that you are caught. At the airport they don't care providing you have the money to pay.
