Australia's West Coast

Hey
I'm currently in Australia and have travelled the East Coast. Now looking to Travel the West coast, Ayers rock and also great ocean road with a few friends.
Any ideas on how long it takes roughly to travel the west coast (driving) and any specific points that are pretty amazing!?
All ideas appreciated!
