Hi everyone, me and my boyfriend have been in Australia for four months now and loving it. But we have got the travel bug now and would love to visit New Zealand and then go back to oz to finish the rest of our year long working holiday visa.
We were thinking about going over for around three weeks. Any suggestions on which places we should visit and what kind of transport we should use when we are there?
Also we both have Australian bank accounts, could we use over there (I'm guessing not) or set something else up?

Definitely do it - far more to see here than Oz! :-)
If you have limited time and there are two of you I would say hire a cheap car (I found u-save cheapest for an older model), but you could easily bus it.
What to see, depends what you like, but I suggest:
Queenstown, Milford Sound, and Fiordland in general. Great hiking, and all the adventure activities if you like them.
Rotorua / Taupo for geothermal stuff, both to look at and for hot springs.
Wellington the capital city is worth a look.
If you like architecture, Napier lays a good claim to being the world capital.
Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier on the west coast of South Island if you want to see or walk on glaciers.
If you like attractions, the Hobbiton movie set tour at Matamata is good.
