Hey everyone! So I am hoping to go on a trip to mexico or cuba for the February break. Both me and my friend are in university and hers has a rule where she can't miss more than 6 hours (and I really don't want to miss a week of classes that are $700 each) so we have to go the week of the feb break. I know it's going to be expensive but I'm hoping we can find a deal for 1500-1600 max. My question is, has anyone travelled over feb break and was able to find a last minute deal? Or are the prices I see now going to be the prices I see then? I just don't feel comfortable paying $2000 for a three star hotel. I will be departing from saskatoon. I've checked all the sites you can imagine (sunwing, air canada, air transat, sell off vacations, expedia, ect) but does anyone have any "hidden gem" sites I could find a deal from?
There are no "hidden gem" websites offering deals to Cuba. The packages all come from the same suppliers, there's no secret under the table tour operators.
Saskatchewan is tough sell for a departure point... don't follow prices from Toronto or Montreal, you'll want to scream in frustration.

Try Skiplagged to find "hidden city" fares. They have destinations to Mexico too. Also, give skyscanner a try.
If you can't get a deal with flgihts, then try to save on accommodations. Try couchsurfing.
Just put the above in any search engine and you'll find them.
Couchsurfing is illegal in Cuba.
