Train Travel Malaysia to Bangkok

Hi All!

the border crossing by train is perfectly safe at Padang Besar (immigration checkpoint)

But why not try the comfort of a bus? Take midnite bus from KL, and you will arrive abotu 8-9am next day in Hatyai. Faster too! And from Hatyai, you may take the train or bus to BKK.

Train might be slow but comfortable. Try to buy the sleeping booth or a private room. The border at Padang Besar is safe. You have 2 weeks to get from Malaysia to Bangkok. I think you have plenty of time. If you need info, you can PM me. Safe trip!!!

Thanks for the info!

You read so many differnt things looking on the net, so thought I would check with people that have been there and done it.

We would prefer to get the train, dont fancy being on a bus for all that long unless necessary really.

Will be looking for some more info nearer the time opospa so will pm you then!

Thanks again.

Which way you go depends on what you want to see on the way. Some beach places? I would go AirAsia. By time you're settling down on the plane, you're there. If you have 2 weeks, it gives you a chance to look in on another destination if you go the long way around, like via Hong Kong.
