HOW TO TURN YOUR TRAVEL EXPERIENCES INTO COLD HARD CASH!

Picked this report from vancouversun.com, written by Sharon Harvey Rosenberg and Myscha Theriault.

That's some handy info you added. Thanks

I watched the film, Julie and Julia. Who ever made cash with their travel blogs???

Is reading travel blogs, kind of a spoiler?

Nice, thanks for the info

He who has never tried, never knows !. I posted it for those who want to give a try (travel blog is just one of the areas these writers have mentioned!)...and not for those who are out to seek re assurance! .

anyway Swept Away: your question Is reading travel blogs, kind of a spoiler? is stand alone... as it could generate a lot more comments than cloud this thread..No malice intended !

Thanks for the info:
"Writing: Start a travel blog to document your trips. Passive income can be earned from advertising networks such as Chitika or Google, affiliate sales programs and paid advertisements for high-traffic blogs. Online writing samples can lead to freelance assignments."
I have been a traveler for over 25 years and feel I have something to say. This is something I have been thinking about doing for awhile this has encouraged me to go ahead. I will never know if I don't give it a try.

YES.. YOU ARE RIGHT...

We have to make a start somewhere...! Nothing to lose, right..? Just dont think of the money as yet - establish first!.

good luck..!

Thanks for the tips! There are some great ideas here!

Not to poo poo this article too much, but the only person that made any real money was the freelancer that put this pretty stretched article together.

unless you have big boobies and are going to show them off on a daily basis, you will never drive enough traffic to a travel blog to make any money more than a free cup of coffee.

Be careful with the picture one, do you really want to give away all your rights for your best ever photo to a company that will use it to make hundreds and you got paid 25cents.

Second hand cash. Exporting antiques in most countries is a pain in the ass with the paperwork at best and illegal in others.

But hey there are opportunity's there, and travel broadens your horizons and gives you ideas. I knew a girl that started the first smoothy bar in the Key West Fl and made a fortune after seeing it in Hawaii on her holiday, and a guy that started a laundry mat in some eastern European country.

Yup the numbers just don't add up.

I've heard that more times than I can count from two (2) of my photographer friends.

Also-I live in Vancouver and am familiar with the two authors of the story-they are small time hustlers with little talent and less travel experience.
