You curious to know which sites people use to search for their flights.
At the moment im looking for the cheapest flight from London to Buenos Aires.Ive set an alert for Kayak to email me everytime the price is under £600 return which is helpful.
I'm loving the AirAsia for that reason at the moment, you can buy low (eg. AUS$250 return to China) with dates you choose within a 6 month time frame. And If you need to change the dates, you can (if other people haven't booked the seats already). I guess it comes down to the 'cheapest fares' verses 'flexible'... how flexible are you?

Well i can book a holiday from work pretty much at any time and with short notice.
Im flexible as im looking at flying either April,May,June,October or November
Try the airlines directly, as well as flight websites. It can sometimes be very pleasantly surprising.
Also, consider changing flights enroute. This can save a lot of money. Splitting airline tickets with different companies can save a packet. This sometimes works even with the same airline. Just make sure that you allow enough time for a transfer. If you have 2 or 3 different flights and their all with different companies, they won't sympathise with you if a connection is missed and you've come in on another airline to the one you're continuing on.
However that aside, it's possible to get 1/2 way round the world for a lot less than the pre £600 you're hoping to pay, just to get from the UK to Argentina.
