How's that Mexico to Costa Rica

Hi,

I have made the trip from Cancun to San Jose. It's a well travelled route, and can easily be done in a month. Your path will take you through a lot of interesting places. There are lots of chances to go into the jungle, lots of places to enjoy time on a beach, and lots of places to enjoy small town life. I figure you can go ( in cities) Crapcun-BZE-Flores-Gua(for ten minutes)-Antigua-Copan-La Ceiba-Utila (or Roatan)-Teguz-Leon-Managua(for ten minutes)-Granada-Ometepe-San Isidro-San Juan Del Sur-Concepcion-San Jose. That's a thumb nail sketch of a popular route. It cut out El Salvador, which has it's own beauty, so maybe you want to cut that in instead. Ask DBloom about the country. He's the resident expert.

I have been going down there for ten years. I love CA and miss it when I'm gone. It is entirely worth it and it's cheap like the borsht to a careful person. Don't change your mind. You'll love to see the rest of the place.

Did you make it? I want to have the same route, but have only 22 days

22 days is hectic, mbaldisis...In my opinion you scrimp on too many places, and I would suggest you DON'T go to the Bay Islands ( I say this with sadness) Cut El Salvador in instead... See La Libertad and Suchitoto. Have your tropical beach experience in San Juan Del Sur instead. Again...Entice DBloom to give you the solid lowdown on El Salvador, which is a lovely place....except, in my considered opinion, for San Salvador.

Thanks, Piecar! I think we'll skip Mexico and Belize and fly directly to Guatemala City.

A much much better plan. You'll be thankful for it.
