Massive earthquake in Christchurch

Apparently this morning (New Zealand time, so 12 hours ago or so) there was a massive 7.1 magnitude earthquake right outside Christchurch. Reportedly no one has been killed, and there've even been very few serious injuries, but damage is pretty significant. From what I read power has mostly been restored, and the airport is open again, but the inner city will remain closed until Sunday.
Anyone on the ground there with more information for people who might be wanting to travel to Christchurch in the coming days?

It's so amazing there weren't any fatalities given the magnitude of this quake! In sadder news, there was also a plane crash that killed 4 backpackers yesterday at Fox Glacier:

One of my best mates lives in Christchurch (although ironically he's moving to London soon). Most of the building damage has been superficial I gather, although there has been damage to infrastructre and some people are still required to boil drinking water.

There has been lots of aftershocks too, in the region of 100 but I'm not sure if any more quakes are predicted.

The region is back to its best, though some buildings are still being demolished and they still get aftershocks. Perhaps some adventure tourism!
