Rainy Seasons

Hi There!

Winter is high season for a reason - it's fairly dry. Each country has it's own unique weather patterns, but there's no better time for SE Asia than January. You need to work around holiday closures at the beginning of Feb (Chinese NY and TET). Here's weather info for .

Hi There!

Just wondering how long people usually travel asia for?

I was looking at going the end of january and doing thailand, vietnam, cambodia and laos but i have been lookng to the rainy seasons and i'm wondering if i will hit it???

Where is the country with the least rain in the rainy season?? x x x

All three countries are pretty dry in January, you won't see much rain.

North Vietnam could be a bit cold.

Hi,

Even just in Thailand the rainy season hits at different parts on different months so you may spend your time chasing the sunshine. To be honest I travelled during the wet season and mainly found that you would get a heavy down pour in the morning and the rest of the day would clear up and was quite pleasant. A good web site to check out the weather in terms of rainfall temperature and humidity month by month by location is on the Travel fish website. I used this a lot to plan where to go.

If travelling to the South West islands of Thailand during Sep-Nov be aware that many of the boat transfers do not run and the islands are pretty much deserted.

All the best

Hi everybody!

A friend and I are going to Thailand-Indonesian between the 27th of december and the 4th of february...Seems to be the best time to go to Thailand but we are not pretty sure about Indonesian...we are intending to go this way in Indonesian: Jakarta-Bali-Lombok (this just to set the basics) ... this might be the last 3 weeks of january...would you recommend this specifically area on this time on the year??

thx!
