I'm travelling europe at the minute and am on my way to India. If I can work out a complete land route and you don't mind going west to east I'd be up for a travel buddy.
I'm originally from the UK, 34, male and a erm...former photographer. Oh, and I'll be in Turkey before then as well so if you fancy that before you do Iran....

Former photographer? Fantastic stuff - I'm still learning the art I'm busy researching which other country I might do a side-trip to. I was originally thinking Armenia/Azerbaijan but their winters are pretty cold so Turkey *might* be a little warmer. If I did Turkey first, I'll could take a train/bus to say Kayseri and then head east. I'm budgeting about 1-2 weeks for the side-trip so I figure that'll be enough time to see the highlights east of Anatolia (Cappadocia, Van etc).
Another option I'm considering is to go north into Armenia, freeze my butt off there for a week or so and return to Iran. Could meet up in say Tabriz and head south to Yazd/Tabriz. Guessing you'll be going through Iran onto Pakistan? How long were you planning to spend in Iran?

Payami, eddie_kh: hi and thanks for your interest! Payami, are you a local resident? Are you able to suggest cheap accommodation (hostel or hotel) in Tehran? I need to specify my first hotel where I'll be staying on arrival.
I'm likely to be travelling around Turkey before Iran: fly in to Tehran -> Kayseri (Turkey) -> Tehran -> Shiraz -> Eshafan etc -> Tehran and fly out though these plans are pretty flexible.

You must to look at the central and south of Tehran for 1* hotels. Maybe Firouzeh was good for you, I think the price is 25$ or less.
You mean for my photography? I love nature and landscape photography, But I do product photography as a professional photographer.
