cash passports

Hi there, we are heading to Europe next May and i am wondering whether we should get a Cash passport Mastercard or a Cash passport Visa????? Any suggestions would be very helpful, which one is better or are they both the same??

These cards can be quite expensive. I just use my local bank's debit card, and back that up with 2 credit cards. It all depends on the costs involved with your local situation, and if you're willing to pay the high charges.

Recently I was in Tbilisi, Georgia and my bank put a block on the debit card because I broke my normal withdrawal pattern. This was totally my own fault for not knowing what the local currency was worth (Georgian Lari or GEL). I had requested too much cash more than once (my local bank has a daily limit of US$200.) It can be confusing since atm's usually display amounts in the local currency. I emailed the bank and the block was removed in a few days (in the meantime, I used a credit card for a cash advance).
