should i stay a night at ho chi min ? or i can direct continue to hao long bay.

Fly to Hanoi, after that go to Halong bay by bus.
The trip: Hanoi - Halong - Hanoi 2 days 1 night about 50$ to 400$/ pax.

How many days you have in Vietnam?
You should take flight from your country to Ha Noi, visit Ha Noi - Ha long... and down to the South. Take flight departure from Ho Chi Minh. Or versa you arrive Ho Chi Minh first and then departure in Ha Noi. There are many choice for cruises or junks in Ha long bay. This depends on your budget.
You are welcomed to ask information for your trip in Vietnam.
Hi Rike, im heading round those parts from June to August 2012, also looking for a companion, are You only going to the north of Vietnam or are you planning to travel around a bit?
