Just wanted a bit of feedback - either improvements or additions that could be made to my itinerary please
Also how long people would recommend in each place
I only know Granada and Malaga of these. Both are interesting, but far from my favorite cities in the region, so I'd say 3 days for Granada (a day for the Alhambra, a day to wander the Albayzin (too touristy, but the only actually nice part of the city), and a day to head out into the hills and olive groves east of the Alhambra, which surprised me with the gorgeous views and unexpected hiking opportunities), 2 days for Malaga (a day for the Alcazaba and the Roman theater, and a day for the harbour and general wandering around). Cordoba is next up on my list of Andalucian cities to visit, and from what I've read about it so far, I'd give it 4-5 days.
I'd consider adding:
- Ronda: A few hours by bus from Malaga, and totally worth 3 days or more; good hiking around, easily accessed just by descending from the cliffs, also a nearby cave with cave paintings (first time for me I ever saw such with my own eyes). Ronda also is a highlight in my memory for every single restaurant we tried there being really, really good. (I can imagine Ronda being too crowded with holidaymakers in high season though, so you might want to give it a miss from June through September.)
- Sevilla: My favorite city in Andalucia, and worth 5 days easily; The Alcazar deserves a full day, as does just wandering the alleys of the Santa Cruz district; also worth a day is the out-of-this-world plaza de Espana and surrounding park, and the nearby Roman site of Italica, plus finally a day of just exploring the rest of this never-dull city.

Oh yes Ronda, I'd seen this, though didn't know it would be such a long stay over. I can only really go June/July sort of time, is it really worth missing if it will be tot crowded?

My recommendation of "3 days" is of course heavily colored by the good experience I had there. Size-wise you can undoubtedly rush through it in a day and a half and not feel like you've missed anything. As for giving it a miss in summer; I really don't know what to advise. I was there in early March, when it was wonderfully uncrowded, but based on its infrastructure, I could very easily imagine it being just horrible in high season. I guess ultimately it depends on how much crowds tend to annoy you?

I've been in Ronda during summer and I'd say it was crowdy but possible to resist. It is one of most interesting places in South Spain, and not only the town but also the road leading to it which is extremaly twisted but provides breathtaking views. So I would advise you to consider visiting the city.
What about Gibraltar? You can see a nice panorama of the region there as well as the sea and on a shiny day even Africa.
As for Madrid I would recommend at least three days as the city is huge with a lot of interesting places.

I think Madrid - 2 days (and if you'll be there at sunday - an entrance to Prado is free). Barcelona is so huge and exciting - 4 or 5 days at least. Valencia 2 days,
July unfortunately. Not used to such temperatures, coming from London!
