Myself and my girlfriend have 6 weeks spare whilst in Thailand and would love to volunteer with animals. We are happy to pay food and board but we are backpackers and can't afford the huge costs that many organisations want. Can anyone give us some advise on this please.

I will be in Thailand also for about 5 weeks, Im a videographer, I dont know if those skills might help but I can make you any kind of videos.
Unfortunately, with the hard working, cheap labor available, most volunteers wind up costing too much. As often as not, they simply get in the way.
Tending elephants, tigers and other desirable opportunities require a bit of knowledge. By the time a volunteer is up to speed, the holiday's over!
That's why many opportunities cost so much.
We have both worked an elephant sancuary before and are willing to work very hard. If anyone who has had any 1st hand experience themselves and could tell us about it we would like to hear about it.
