Dont worry too much as you will find like minded people in the hostels you booked to stay and you will make friends easily. Its safe and hope you have fun in Sydney. I am from sydney and if you need any more info shoot me an email...

yeah, it looks like we are all on the same boat on this site, ive been talkign to quite a few pple, like myself are travelling to aus alone, and traveling alone for the first time..im actually pretty exited about it all, but it is reasuring theres gonna be loads of us out there about the same time as each other in the same posistion as each other. have you guys got your tickets and accom sorted? are you staying out there for xmas and new years? most of us are gonna be in sydney for new years. send me a message if you guys wanna chat.
Im going alone to but not until Mid January, i have a friend who lives in Sydney but wont know anyone else! Scary!

im going in december and im planning on staying for a year..my plan is to be in sydney for xmas and new years and then im going to go over to south aus, then victoria then up the east coast all the way up to cairns and back down to sydney before i go back to england & work along the way as and when i need to. what are your plans?
