Hello travlers,
My name is devon and i moved here to london a few months ago and i feel like ive accomplished very little in the adventure department since ive been here. I know only a few ppl here and the majority of them all dont have the same travel intentions as i do soooooo this is what brought me here to this site (something i kinda stumbled apon).
I havent fully seen london for starters and i would love for someone to share the experience with, as well i would like to take a trip to scotland and see it for all its worth...i visited edinburgh for a day and it wasnt enough.
So if there is anyone out there who has the same interest, or is even in the same boat maybe we could work it out together.
Im a 24 canadian girl looking for a change in pace and wanting to see the world, but its always more fun with more than one person.

Hey there Devon,
I'm Lyna, a 29yr old from Singapore, currently undergoing teacher training. Am thinking of making my way to London this Dec, just a couple of days short of Christmas. Problem is, my parents are sticky about me travelling alone. And truth be told, it does sound kinda boring, but I am in a real need of a holiday after a crazy semester in school.
Would you be in London between 23 till 30 Dec? Perhaps we could make some plans?

its great that someone finally replied to this post lol....yes i will be here in london those days and i really dont blame you for wanting a holiday after school...i can relate ....
i would love to make some plans ive been working so much since i got here i havent had much of a chance to see much of anything.

Hi Devon,
I would suggest seeing London slowly. There's events and stuff happening all over the city and if you are going to those events then that is a good time as any to see the place.
Walking is a really good way of seeing London as well, especially around zone 1. If you are interested in the royals they have events which are quite popular. I went to the trooping of the colours this year and that had quite a crowd. There are some crazy royalists that talk like they know the royal family... saying things like 'Well I saw Charles at blah blah and he was wearing blah blah..." crazy people.
You have to visit Richmond, walking along the Thames is very nice.
You can see London by yourself. It's fun to people watch and there are people all around.
If you want to meet new people, you can try volunteering. I've made some really nice people doing that.
wow thank you for the advice....lol i know what you mean about the royalist tho...but they dont bother me so much because i work for a catering company here and we do a lot of major function for the royals and thier friends...ahhahahaha you should see the looks i get when i tell them that...priceless.
but yes i do get the feeling that london is something you take very slowly its a huge city....whats the trooping of the colours though?...i havent heard of that one...
