There are a group of 5 of us wanting to go to either Central America or South America in June or July time of 2011. We are only going for 2-3 weeks due to work commitments. In the last two years we have been to Indonesia and Thailand backpacking so we enjoy exploring and being adventurous.
In that short a period of time, well you could do well to concentrate on one country with lots to offer. I'd suggest either Guatemala--Flores,Tikal, Panajechel, Antigua, with a side trip to Copan in Honduras (it's on the border)Enter in BZE and outGUA....or Colombia,--Cartagena, Taganga, Medellin and environs, enter and leave through CTG.
