Hi, trying to plan my honeymoon for October. We're from Australia, both around 30 years old, and have done a bit of travel, but this is our 1st time to Italy. Can anyone give me their thoughts on this itinerary? We plan on catching the train within Italy. Just want to know if I'm trying to fit too much in. Any thoughts / suggestions appreciated. Thanks!!
I personally try for 3 nights minimum in a new city. So I guess I'd cut one out. But I've only really been to Rome in Italy, so can't really say where to change your trip.
4 nights is good in Rome. Even though you'll just barely scratch the surface, it's enough to catch the most major sights.
Thanks Peter! I usually follow the 3 night rule too - not sure why I haven't stuck to it here!! I'm thinking we should cut out Sorrento and Naples, and base ourselves in Rome, then do day trips from there
