Hello anyone going to be in NZ sept this year, i'm going alone!! Its my first time travelling, i've seen that sooo many people are going it alone too so i'm sure i'll be fine but it'll be cool to know if there will be any of you out there at the ame time!!!
You will have a great time on your own and as you say, there will be plenty of people in the same situation so it won't be hard for you to hook up with others. I travelled alone in Oz and NZ and never had a problem meeting people. Are you doing a backpacker bus around NZ?

Hey Victoria! I'm going to NZ in September as well and I'll also be traveling solo. Sounds a little daunting, going away for months and being so far away from home (I'm traveling from Toronto), but I think it's going to be exciting too. Where are you flying into? I'm planning on starting out in Auckland but I've been kind of worried about finding accommodation with the Rugby World Cup taking place during that period.

I think i may speak to STA see what their thoughts are on it! I'm thinking of doing the kiwi experience! How are you planning on gettig around?

Oh boy, late response but you're getting one none the less... lol. I'm not even sure what I'm going to do regarding finding accommodation during that time. I may fly into auckland, spend a couple of nights there and then travel around until it's all over. Have you figured out what you're doing??
Kiwi Experience.. I've heard about that. I've done a Contiki Tour before and that was loads of fun. I'd like to look into kiwi experience since i've seen lots of people talking about it. As for getting around, I'll probably bus it, since I have a friend who went last year and said that's the cheapest way to travel. She also said to save on costs of hostels, take overnight buses so you can just sleep on the bus! I hate sleeping on buses but i'll probably end up doing it!
Where are you flying out of? ANy other travel updates on your end?

Hi all, I'll be there from 28th Sep for one month for the Rugby World Cup (which starts on 9th September). The atmosphere will be great you'll love NZ. A word of warning though it will be packed and most of the hostels are booked up. Have a great time. Rob

As MissyT is, I'll be arriving in September too! Traveling my own having done 3 months in South America before then! I'll be landing in Auckland on 25th September and cannot wait to see the country go RUGBY mad!!!
I've been to NZ before and it's an awesome place!!
It would be good to have some friendly people to hook up with and watch some rugby with and see some scenery with too!!
