Renting a car is not the best option - it's about 800kms in distance and would cost you a fortune since you would not return the car where you pick it up.
Taking a train is a good idea as it is comfortable and you can see the landscape but it is not so much faster (6-7 hours) than bus (9-10 hrs) but more expensive.
Flying would be the fastest if you fly into a central airport of Paris. Although, all in all would just be a few hours shorter.
I would rather take the train or bus - depending on your budget.
