Cape Town road trip advice please?!

Sulabalula has indicated that this thread is about South Africa

I'm spending 10 days in South Africa in November and my itinerary is pretty similar to yours, but I have 5 full days in Cape Town. I’m also doing a township tour and a Cape Malay cooking tour. I’ll report back to this thread towards the end of November when I have finished my trip and should be able to give some more advice and recommendations.

Dear Sula

The itinerary you have in mind is great.

Please see below my suggestion:

2 nights accommodation in Camps Bay, while here you can visit the following;
Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, The Castle, Robben Island, V&A Waterfront, West Coast Ostrich Farm, World of Birds, Constantia Wineries, Chapman's Peak, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Cape Point, Dias Beach, Penguin Colony, Simonstown, Fishhoek & Muizenberg to name a few.

2 nights accommodation in Stellebosch/Franschhoek area, while here you can visit the following;
Surrounding wine farms e.g. Spier, Blaauklippen, Meerlust, Neethlingshof, J.C. le Roux, Rustenburg, Plaizsir de Merle, Simonsvlei, KWV, Nederburg, Boschendal, La Couronne, Haute Canriere.......
You can also visit Paarl Monument, Huguenot Museum or drive down to Hermanus where from here you can visit the Harry's Bay, Betty's Bay with it's Penguin Colony, Pringle Bay & Gordon's Bay.

Then fly to Hoedspruit for a few night in the Bush

4 nights at a private game reserve e.g Thornybush Game Reserve bordering the Kruger National Park

Fly back to Johannesburg for your International flight back home.

The above suggested itinerary is very popular with all our International guests.

Please let me know if you would like us to make accommodation, car rental, transfers or activity bookings for you.

Kind Regards

Tialise Cronje
