Rio! Hear that place is crazy for NYE
Do you have any idea of which country you're gonna be?
For New Years eve:
If you're in Brazil go to the big beach cities, specially Rio
If you're in Peru, Cusco is good place
In Equador head to Montañita
These are the main places I know
For Christmas I don't thing it makes much of a difference as most people stay at home with their families

Not sure where we will be yet. We're in Peru at the moment and most probably heading anti-clockwise around the continent, so possibly like Argentina or Uruguay for Christmas and maybe Brazil for NYE, still not sure though .

I would recommend you to visit Peru for Christmas and New Year. You will find different choices to celebrate this two especial days.
