Flying from Singapore to Cuzco or NZ to Cuzco cheaper?

Hi,

Flying from NZ is expensive as it's an "end of the line" destination. It should be cheaper than flying from Singapore but you'll just have to look around and see what fares come up.

I would imagine you'd have to fly to Lima and then fly to Cuzco from there. Lima has a number of good museums, etc worth visiting so a few days there is worthwhile. Most stay in the Miraflores area.

As you do not have much time and distances are great, better to fly in South America. Flights are usually cheaper if bought before arrival.

Long distance travel will be your greatest expense so keep it down where possible. Don't try to do too much. Patagonia is quite a bit out of the way. What's worth seeing there?

As well as MP, Cuzco is worth a good look around and any of the local travel agents will book you on a number of different days out, or further afield.

I think it will be cheaper to fly from NZ. Look out for specials with Aerolineas Argentinas to Buenos Aires as you could could connect from there up to Peru, or otherwise LAN Chile fly into Santiago and you could change there.

Thank you so much for the replies. Due to the extra cost that i need to pay up for re-schedule of my flight to Singapore, i guess flying from NZ is the cheaper option for me now. Thank you for the recommendation of Aerolineas Argentinas and LAN chile!

Anyway, would wanna find out if 1 day is enough to explore Iguazú National Park?

And if any of you have any idea from Iguazu which is the nearest international airport that i could go to book a flight back to Singapore?
