RTW organization?

I was trying to start to organize my RTW for the next year and half, 2 years.
What I'm fighting with is to keep the expenses al low as possible and think to the possibility to get small, daily jobs while travelling.
I woulnd'p stop by for more than a week, so by now I'm just thinking to wwoof a little bit across the US & Canada, then just travel.
What I want to do is buy a small camper or RV while in North America, where I'll stop for 1 year.
Is it a good choice for you? I'd avoid to spend money for accomodations and I'll have a place where to eat my meals.
But what about finding small jobs?

From the sounds of it, your plans seem to still be in the unrealistically dreaming stage. How are you going to stay in North America for a year? Sure, Canada will allow you to visit for up to six months, but more than 90 days in the USA is pretty much out of the question (unless you get a work visa, which is effectively undoable; they really don't want you), and you'd get major hassle trying to go back and forth. Also, most countries are of the opinion that you'd need a work visa for WWoOFing.

Better to shift focus of your trip to stay longer in Australia or New Zealand (or I guess actually Canada); those countries allow you to get a Working Holiday Visa with relatively little hassle, and then you can stay in the country for up to a year and legally work there.

You're telling me I'll for sure have troubles with US border controls, entering and exiting the country? Well, I think for the first 7 months I'll land in the US, head to Canada and drive all the way towards Alaska. Then come back to the US, and leave for a couple of months for South America. In january '13 I'll come back in the US and drive for 3 months then come again in Canada, stay there one month then back again for the last 3 months in USA. I don't think I'll be bothered for that! It's nothing illegal or this repetitive!

About wwoofing, I haven't read I'll need a working visa. I mean, do you think every wwoofer have a US working visa??? REALLY??
