Hotel in Amsterdam

Hi Folks, could you recommend a nice hotel with character in the heart of Amsterdam. Any price range will do. Just need to have character. Many thanks,

I stayed in "A Train Hotel" as I visited Amsterdam. It was cheap, had a nice soul, and it was central. Of course not the nicest one, but I enjoyed it, and so did my wife!

I don't know if you like Art Nouveau and whether that defines as "character" to you? If so, then you should check out Amrâth hotel. It is a beautiful Art Nouveau style hotel. Another beautiful hotel - but also not very cheap - is the Canal House. Right in the middle of Amsterdam City Centre on one of the main canals. It is a beautiful boutique/designer hotel: http://www.booking.com/hotel/nl/canal-house.html

Quite a bit cheaper, on the border of the city centre and close to Leidsepein you will find NL Hotel, a cute boutique/designer hotel on the Nassaukade. Prices differ and start around EUR 89,- http://www.booking.com/hotel/nl/nlhotel.en-gb.html
