Hi all,

Im in exactly the same boat as John! will be arriving in Buenos Aires on the 23rd and am keen as mustard to go to the match. So please anyone give us info! equally john will let you know if I find or hear anything.

Mark.

Yeah i will be looking into it a lot over the next two weeks so if i get any good information i will post back here on the forum as im pretty sure there will be a lot of interest in this game )

Hi all,
I went to the River Boca game last year with an student organization called Buenos Aires International Students -- the tickets were much cheaper than buying them from a tourist agency and it was very fun, we went to the stadium in a group with Argentines and foreigners.
I would just send them an email to their info account they will get back to you with prices or just check out their website, www.baisargentina.com

Best,
Kate

I am desperate to see this game and we're going to saunter across to BA in time for it.

Will it just be a case of paying whatever it takes or will tickets be really hard to get regardless?

i went to the river - boca last year and simply turned up on the day. there were a lot of foreigners trying to get their hands on tickets. i got lucky because i got talking to an american guy studying there who got me in by assisting a local fan in a wheelchair. it was a bizarre experience. from what i could see, there were a lot who didn't manage to get tickets so you might be best seeing if the hostels can sort tickets out. this will be more expensive, but at least you'll be at the game.

good luck with it.

if you can speak spanish go down to the stadium and get a ticket from a scalper its easy. tickets agencies and bars around the area sell tickets. if you don't speak spanish your hotel concierge or hostel should be able to get you something.

Ok being as the one who started this topic its now time for me to chip in as the time closes in on this fixture...

Yesterday i went to visit my tour/accomodation company in Avenida Santa Fe and got myself a ticket for the game for 450 pesos (approximately £80) and this will include pickup from San Telmo to the River stadium, decent seat for the game and also return which i thought was very reasonable, as long as all goes to plan )

I will report back on the experience soon )

John

John, I hope you enjoy the game. I have just got back from Argentina and went to watch the Boca v Tigre game which was great. I originally had tickets for Boca v River but it was rescheduled to the Argentinian football season being delayed, so I was pretty disappointed to miss it but still enjoyed the one I went to. I used a company called Tangol for my ticket and transfer.

£80, wow. I really really hope it went well and you got a brilliant game.

I saw tickets being sold outside the ground for 100 peso's when I was there a few years ago. Price is irrelevant to football fans sometimes though as I well know. Going to Madrid in a month and I will probably pay over the odds and already I know that I just don't care so long as the game is good.

Hope you report back.
