We are planning on travelling from Beijing down through China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand.
At the moment we have decided to fly to Beijing and travel overland. By all accounts, the trains in China are pretty good.
I'ld have thought Heathrow has a few daily flights to Beijing.
Most European main hubs have flights to Beijing , China. Example you can fly from Frankfurt to Beijing or Paris to Beijing etc.
Oneway flight ,say, from Frankfurt to Beijing non stop is about 9hrs 30mnts.
Beijingto shnagai is about 1 hr 30mnts..But suggest you take a train between these two cities.
You can fly to Singapore from Beijing or shanghai and takes about 6hrs 30mnts while from Shanghai to Singapore takes 5hrs 30mnts.
You need to search for cheapest fares either with a travela gent or with the airlines directly as it changes depending up on the period of your travel.
